Black Walnut Syrup

The season for harvesting black walnut sap during late winter/early spring is always a short window. Syrup produced early in the season tends to be somewhat lighter in color and flavor. Late-season syrup has a slightly stronger, nuttier flavor and is a bit darker than the early-season syrup. Both are just as sweet and delicious, as always!
